Place meatballs, pasta, and water into the cooking insert of the Instant Pot. Stir together.
Carefully pour pasta sauce over other ingredients. Do not disturb the other ingredients.
Seal the lid. Cook on Manual, high pressure, for 1/2 the time listed on the pasta package. For more al dente pasta, subtract 1-2 minutes from the cook time.
Quick release the pressure from the pot. If sputtering occurs, close the release valve for a few seconds and try again. Open pot, and stir to combine. If sauce is not thick enough, activate the sauté function to reduce the sauce.
Serve, topped with Parmesan or Romano cheese.
